Morgan and Lydia was married for about 2 weeks, before he enlisted in Company G, 22nd Regiment Pennsylavania Volunteer Cavalry for the Civil War as a Private.

After coming home he renewed his friendship with Nancy Hager, who was a former mate of both Morgan and his wife Lydia. Later, Lydia found out that Morgan was cheating on her with Nancy.

Morgan had 10 children with Lydia and with Nancy his mistress he was said to have had 11 children. But I have only been able to find only 5 children with Nancy. Even though she had a child with, her husband, John Hager.

Lydia wanted a divorce but Morgan would not give her one, being that he was old. After Lydia passed away January 15, 1915, she was buried in Redstone Cemetery in Brownsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

Morgan did remarry but to a Rebecca Hager. He was only married for a very short while, before she divorced him.
